Heba Yeast Bread

Ingredients:

150g heba pap
4 tbs Psyllium husk
1 tsp salt
1 pack dry yeast
1 tbs honey
1 cup Luke warm water
5 eggs


Method:

Preheat oven to 180C.
Prepare a loaf pan (grease and line).
Mix together Luke warm water, honey and yeast, then set aside to ferment for 10 minutes.
Beat eggs until light and fluffy.
Fold in the heba, salt and psyllium husk.
Add the yeast mixture and mix.
Add the mixture immediately to the loaf pan.
Bake for 1 hour or until browned.
Remove from pan, and allow to cool completely before slicing.

  1. Living in NZ, but have SA stores. Please ....What IS Heba pap? Is it mielie pap and Heba, the Brand name? Pap and Polenta - corn -allowed? thanks Margie

      Heba Pap is a replacement used for bread, porridge and pap made up of greenlist ingredients [their own secret recipe]. Pap, polenta and corn are not allowed. Babycorn is allowed though and is greenlist :)
