Broccoli - All you need to know!


Broccoli is a powerhouse of nutrients which originally comes from Italy where it was once known as Italian Asparagus!

Related to the cabbage, it is also considered a cruciferous vegetable.


1 cup of chopped broccoli (72g) has the equivalent Vitamin C of an orange (140g), but only contains 3.2g net carbs as opposed to the average oranges 13.4g net carbs.One cup of raw chopped broccoli will give you your entire daily needed intake of Vitamin C


Per cup, Broccoli contains 400mg Potassium, high levels of anti-cancer Vitamin A with a combination of Vitamin K.


A cup of cooked broccoli contains a great amount of much needed fiber too, which will aid digestion.

Because Broccoli contains Vitamin K, it makes the calcium in the Broccoli able to be absorbed better - which means its GREAT for your bones too!
