Sauerkraut

Sauerkraut is really great for gut healing. Affordable, delicious - and so easy to make. What's not to love?



Ingredients:

1 head Cabbage
2 tbs Salt


Method:

Shred the cabbage, salt it and work it with your hands for about 10 minutes until it releases loads of juice.

Bottle it, and use a weight on the top.

I fill small zip locks with water to keep the cabbage submerged in the cabbage juice/brine.

And seal in an airtight container.

Open the jar daily, close again and allow to ferment for about 2 weeks at room temperature.

Once done, you can refrigerate :)
