Cabbage Pap - Kamba Mpenge

Are you missing Pap? Well, not only is this lower carb (like, way), its also not Generically modified, and its nutritious!!

Ingredients:


Cabbage

Water

Psyllium husk

Salt and pepper to taste


Method:

Wash and chop cabbage, then place in Liquidizer with a little water.

Liquidize until smooth.

Strain through muslin cloth or clean kitchen towel.

Squeeze out all the extra moisture.

This is what it should look like...

Place into a pot and cook the cabbage mixture through.

Add 1 tbs psyllium and seasoning.

Stir until well mixed, and the mixture sticks together like pap.

  3. I used ground flaxseed (ground the seeds in a coffee grinder). Did the same thing.

  4. When you have squeezed out the moisture and you say cook. How will it cook without moisture?

  5. You can use heba as a replacement for psyllium but u may need to add more.

    It cooks because heat is applied to it. It doesn't need moisture to cook.

  6. Can i just put it in a a juicer and cook the pulp. Eliminates the squeezing water out step?
