Affordable lunches/suppers is sometimes difficult.
Chicken livers are often underrated. They are packed full of nutrients, are affordable and delicious!
Ingredients:
125g chicken livers
1/2 onion chopped
1 tbs holsum
1 tsp chilli powder (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Method:
Melt holsum in frying pan.
Add onions and fry until translucent.
Add livers and fry on both sides for a few minutes, add chilli powder, salt and pepper and fry for an additional minute.
Make sure not to over fry livers...must still be slightly pink inside.
